Coaches for the Jessup 2027 will be Jan-Henrik Hinselmann and Alexandra Konecny

Participation in the Jessup offers a unique opportunity to dive into public international law and acquire skills that are central to legal advocacy – such as drafting well-founded arguments and speaking fluently in English on complex legal issues. It is also an excellent way to learn how to work effectively in a legal team.

However, mastering these skills does not happen overnight and requires a significant time commitment. We therefore encourage participating students to treat the „Jessup Semester“ (from September 2026 to the beginning of April 2027) as they would a semester abroad, and to consider opting out of regular lectures for that term. In return, Mooties get a free semster for the „Freischuss“ (if they are studying law).
