The Mainz International Adjudication Centre (MAIAC) invites applications for the First Mainz Masterclass in International Adjudication, to be held on 9 April 2027 at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
The Masterclass will be led by Professor Campbell McLachlan KC (University of Cambridge) and will be devoted to “Evidence in International Adjudication”. It will explore the presentation and testing of factual and expert evidence in international arbitration, combining key legal issues with practical examples from reported cases.
The Masterclass is accompanied by the Inaugural Annual International Adjudication Lecture, which will take place on the evening of 8 April 2027 at CMS Hasche Sigle in Frankfurt. Masterclass participants are encouraged to attend and to take the lecture into account when making their travel arrangements.

Applications
Applicants are invited to submit a short Expression of Interest (max. 500 words) outlining their interest in the Masterclass and the subject matter, including specific questions, themes, cases, developments, or controversies they would particularly like to discuss.
Applications must also include a short CV (max. 2 pages).

One or two stipends of €500–€1,000 may be awarded to applicants whose applications are judged to be particularly strong, with the aim of supporting participation-related expenses.
